Check that the flat pack you have
purchased is the unit you require. |
|
2 |
You will require a crosshead screwdriver
and a hammer as basic tools. A 900 carpenters set square
would be handy. |
|
3 |
Select the two panels with 4 holes (2 each
end) approximately 25mm diameter. |
 |
|
4 |
Hammer in the plastic joint plugs with the
hole nearest the outside edge of the panel keeping the groove line
parallel to the edge. |
|
5 |
|
Select the two
panels with 2 screw holes provided on the top and bottom edges.
Screw in metal jointing pins until shoulder is tight against
panel. |
Note: On
kitchen base units 2 straps/bars are provided in place of solid
top.
Ensure that pins are inserted straight. |
|
|
 |
|
6 |
Take one plug panel and one pin panel.
Note: Ensure that all covered edges are facing the same way.
Insert pins into plugs and tighten screws holding screwdriver at sight
angle. Repeat above process until 4 panels are jointed together.
|
As seen when pin
is inserted in plug. |
|
|
 |
|
7 |
|
Place unit face
down with uncovered edges facing upwards. Position backing
panel with finished side facing inwards.
Note: Before nailing backing panel in place ensure the unit
is square by checking there is an even gap between backing panel
and the edges of the unit. |
|
Once an even
gap is obtained hammer one nail in near one corner and then move
diagonally opposite with 2nd nail, check gap and nail remaining
corners, then nail all round: approximately 6cm/2" apart. |

To fit door take hinge mounting
plates and place arrow facing towards edge of unit. Screw first
plate into the top two pre-drilled holes and the second plate
into the bottom two pre-drilled holes. (When three or more
hinges are used, apply above method and fix the other plates
after door is in place.) |
|
Attach door by clipping hinge into
mounting plate. To adjust height of door slightly loosen the
mounting plate screws and gently tap door up or down as
required, then re-tighten screws.
To align door with unit use adjusting screws A and B in each
hinge. |
|
|
|
9 |
When legs are to be
fitted drill in each corner of the unit base where marked by a small
indentation. Attach legs and tighten holding screw. To level unit
adjust height of legs to suit. Make sure the tongue of leg support is
supporting side wall. |
 |
|
10 |
Drawer Fixing:
Take pre-formed drawer and place upside down with thinner sides left &
right. Place runners on thin edges of drawer with wheel at real and
plain edge flush with front of drawers and screw in fixing screws (4).
Take remaining runners and attach to sides of unit using indentations
provided.
To fit drawer tilt upwards to allow runner wheels to engage with fixed
runners slightly lower and push in. |
 |
|
11 |
To attach worktop to
units, drill 3mm hole through bars and using 30mm screws tighten from
underneath. |
 |
|
12 |
To
fix wall units:
Hold unit to wall at height required mark hole, drill & affix with
screws provided. |
 |
|
13 |
To fit shelves:
Push metal pins into desired holes and rest shelves on top. |
 |
|
14 |
Units with panel
attachment: attach to sides of unit using plastic fixing block as shown. |
